to use the Nextiva IntelliFlow rules-based engine to create scenarios and responses based
on the state of these Nextiva signals; the type of event to select when creating a scenario is
Digital Input Pin. For more information, refer to the “IntelliFlow” chapter in the Nextiva
Administrator Guide.
To connect the alarm and relay wires to the interface board:
1. Strip approximately 1 inch (25 mm) of the outer jacket of each cable that will go in a
terminal block.
2. Strip approximately 0.25 inches (6 mm) of insulation off each individual wire on each
cable.
3. Connect the local input alarms:
a. Insert each alarm wire into the TB2 terminal block using the following wiring
information:
Under normal conditions, the alarm cable should be 22 AWG for a distance of
1000 feet (305 m).
b. Tighten the screws on the terminal block.
c. Install the terminal block on the interface board at the TB2 location.
d. Connect the other end of the alarm cable at the proper location.
4. Connect the local relay to the Nextiva alarm input:
a. Connect the relay wires between the TB4 terminal block and the Verint terminal
block using the following wiring information:
